After 9/11 happened, the love felt was real.
We banded together through this horrendous ordeal.
But as the fires went out and the wreckage was cleared
The love that we shared was replaced with new fears.

People bought in to the us/them game.
We fired off guns, rockets and blame.
What did it get us through ten years of lies?
Are we really the devil dressed in disguise?

What will it take to turn hate around,
To love in its face and make it back down,
To realize that dark disappears in the Light
And reveal the truth to remove the fright?

Respect ideas that don’t match yours.
Let compassion flow from every pore.
The same blood pumps through every vein.
When one is hurt, we all feel the pain.

Revisit those days and the love we had.
Allow your good to outshine the bad.
Be the kindness that you want to see.
Honor the Divine in you and me.

A “perfect” life teaches nothing at all
When challenges cease to exist ~
It’s the hurdles we face and overcome
That inevitably add the grist ~
Be present each day in the here and now
And learn to bless all things
Which help us discern and evaluate
And ultimately stretch our wings ~

As we take flight and soar through each day
It becomes easier to see
That life is perfect with all of its faults…
It’s the learning that turns the key ~

Me, Thee, the world at large is in flux.
We can throw up our hands and complain how it sucks
Or…we can work through the difficulties that bring us such pain
And each claim the rainbow as our reward from the rain ~

We’re all in transition navigating rough seas ~
Learning to sail with a prayer and a breeze ~
Until we’re successful in reaching dry land ~
Reflect on the journey and then understand ~

Easy or hard…it’s all what we make it ~
Keep going on even when we can’t take it ~
Knowing that finally in the end we will win
As we gather our strength that resides deep within ~

It’s pleasant…Divine – The temperature is just right ~
They’re sweet…they’re fine – People’s lights are on bright ~
We’re serene…at peace – Our ride’s in control ~
I expand…I increase – I AM healthy, happy and whole ~

Though some will view these changes as bad,
Out of every sad thing results something glad.
Where before it’s taken us time to learn,
The good we now find as we better discern.

Change is powerful whether we choose to decide
To jump on board and enjoy the ride
Or just sit back and be a hostage taken
At the mercy of fate until we awaken.

Earthquakes, floods, volcanoes too,
A cosmic push to begin anew.
As above, so below.
Tumultuous times help us grow.

Be filled with Love and clear of heart.
Let this year be a brand new start.
Raise your vibration through the roof.
Live each day in the Joy of Truth.

One One Eleven

It’s twenty eleven, almost January two
And I’m contemplating just what I should do
With the three sixty five that before me lay
How to maximize life in each of those days ~

New Year’s resolutions so often fail ~
They’re about deprivation that puts us in jail ~
Invisible bars that exist just the same
As we handcuff ourselves, our desires we tame ~

Rather than damper the spirit within
We should feed and inspire what brings us a grin ~
Don’t take away from what we already are
But expand what we have like a shooting star ~

Embellish the things that about us are good ~
Give up the words would, should and could ~
Step confidently on our path each day
With our high beams on to light the way ~

Be the Love that you wish to receive ~
Take a chance and wear your heart on your sleeve ~
Bless everything with Truth and Light ~
Filled with Joy, let your soul take flight ~~~

Opening myself to spiritual direction guides me on my perfect path ~
Although it may not be clear to me at the start, time brings clarity ~
What begins as a fuzzy foot path eventually transforms into a polished and paved walkway ~

I can rail against the course of my path for as long as I choose ~
Yet, continuing to place one foot in front of the other delivers me to the real destination through a greater understanding….sooner or later ~
As I round the bend, I can see why that course was necessary ~

And then I KNOW why I AM here at this particular place at this particular time ~

It is always about transmitting Light and Love ~!~
Teaching through example ~!~
Answering the call for the Highest and Best for ALL Concerned and allowing for that outcome ~!~
Recharging from the Truth that, indeed, I do make a positive difference ~!~
Reveling in the JOY that resonates in the goodness that flows through me ~!~

Stepping into the stream of Divine Right Order and Time….the path is well lit ~*

Beautiful lyrics that really make me think
How each precious moment is gone in but a blink.

Some revel at the miracles while others aren’t aware
And even without thinking, turn each day into a pit of despair.

If they only knew how simple it is to change their life,
They’d cut out all the drama like a surgeon with a knife.

They’d break the bonds of boundaries that keep them in their place
And dance under a sea of stars with elegance and grace.

Nothing would be out of reach, able to touch the sky
With wings of light that would take them there lifting them on high.

Their hearts would swell so full of joy from such a lofty view
That only kindness, truth and love would be their passion to pursue.

The world would be a better place if by example we could birth
The truth and acceptance that we co-create our Heaven here on Earth.

Mmmmmm….The power of chocolate runs all through my veins ~
It can fly me to heaven and scramble my brain ~

It’s true my one vice is this pure, sweet confection
Which rests on my lips with desired affection ~

So many to choose from, but the bittersweet’s best
And I crave it continuously as if I’m obsessed ~

It’s never too early or late for a taste ~
Unfortunate, though, it goes straight to my waist ~

I’d gladly eat veggies or pump iron some more
If allowed to ingest this sheer sweetness adored ~

Chocolate for breakfast, dinner, dessert ~
Into each menu this treat should insert ~

No day is complete without this delight
Which overloads my senses and serves to excite ~

The purer the cocoa, the higher the buzz ~
There’s no substitute that can do what it does ~

And so I give thanks for the joy that it brings,
A delicious obsession that makes my heart sing ~

So much to think about as of late has made me want to contemplate
How fragile life is on this plane and strips away the need to complain ~

Be kind, be sweet, be patient and gentle and strive to be non-judgmental.
These are the gems and valued assets that display your sparkle from every facet~

Change, positive or negative, can be charged with stress as we adjust to these new differences in our life.  Change pushes us out of our comfort zone and can leave us uncomfortable, nervous, anxious, panicked.  Change forces us to evolve and grow beyond the expectations we previously held.  And, because of this, change can be our best friend upon whom we can always depend.

Embrace change with trust and love and soon you’ll realize that only good can follow.
